Horseshed Fair



This year the Horseshed Fair will be held on October 7, 2006. It is the 31st annual fair. The fair is held every year on the first Saturday in October.


The Annual Horseshed Crafts Fair is held at the First Church of Christ Unitarian, known as the historic Bulfinch Church, on the Town Green.  The Fair will  start at 10 a.m. in the horse sheds and on the grounds of this National Historic Landmark during the height of the fall foliage and apple picking season.  It is widely advertised and draws several thousand attendees each year.

Over 80 crafters typically participate. Offering hand made items such as jewelry, quilts, baskets, ceramics, painted clothing, needlework, toys, wood items, silk flowers, holiday gifts, art works and much more.  
A variety of food and beverages are available for sale in four locations throughout the day.

One Saturday each fall, the annual Horseshed Crafts Fair opens on the grounds of the First Church of Christ (the Bulfinch Church), 725 Main St., on the Town Green. .

Close to 90 crafters participate, with choices ranging from silk and dried flower art, Victorian dolls and jewelry. Space is limited so crafters should reserve space early.

Proceeds from the fair will go toward church programs.

Built in 1816, the 15 connected wood-framed horsesheds (part of the original 26) will house a plethora of crafts.

The First Church of Christ Unitarian is located on the Town Green at 725 Main St. in Lancaster.
