There are several areas with groups of antique shops that make great places to visit many stores in a short distance.
Some, such as Sturbridge and Brimfield in Massachusetts and the Antique Alley section of Route 4 in New Hampshire, have become standards. They offer many items for the serious buyer or browser, but success sometimes means they can charge more. Good for sellers, but not for customers.
Along and a short distance off of, Route 12 in Massachusetts, you can find a number of stores that contain a good assortmant of items, ranging from museum-quality antiques to more recent collectibles.
And the prices are, we believe, among the best you'll find anywhere.

Dealers from Connecticut and New York routinely include the area on their buying trips. There's no reason you can't benefit from the shopping potential of the area's stores.
There are 13 stores along or within easy driving distance from Route 12. In fact, a drive along routes 12, 140 and 31 will be an adventure in antiquing, as well as an opportunity to see some nice scenery and small-town charm without getting far from major highways.
