SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

To any Constable of the Town of Lancaster in the County of Worcester,
GREETINGS:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lancaster qualified to vote in the elections and Town affairs, to meet in the Mary Rowlandson Elementary School Auditorium, 103 Hollywood Drive in said Lancaster on Monday, the twenty-ninth day of September, at 7:00 o'clock in the evening, then and there to act on the following Articles:
ARTICLE 1
Board of Selectmen
To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of M.G.L. c.44, §53E, and in accordance with said chapter, to further authorize the following appropriation of estimated receipts received by the Fire Department to offset ordinary operating costs for said department, or act in any manner relating thereto: The Finance Committee will make a recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 2
Board of Public Works
To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to FY04 DPW-Highway Safety, or act in any manner relating thereto. The Finance Committee will make a recommendation from the floor.
ARTICLE 3
Board of Public Works
To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to supplement FY04 DPW-Salary & Wages, or act in any manner relating thereto. The Finance Committee will make a recommendation from the floor.
ARTICLE 4

Water Enterprise Fund
To see if the Town will vote to amend the FY04 Water Enterprise Budget, or act in any manner relating thereto. The Finance Committee will make a recommendation from the floor.
ARTICLE 5

Water Enterprise Fund
To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Public Works to expend $50,000 from the Water Enterprise Capital Fund for the purpose of continuing water supply inventory and analysis in order to acquire a second public water source, or act in any manner relating thereto. The Finance Committee will make a recommendation from the floor.
ARTICLE 6
Planning Board
To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 2.20, Zoning Map, by removing from the Residential (R) district and including in the Light Industry (LI) district that land east of Lunenburg Road and north of Fort Devens, totaling 31 acres, more or less, which is designated in the Town of Lancaster Assessors’ Maps as Sheet 9, Lots 16, 16A and 17.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at the South Lancaster Post Office, the Center Post Office, the Fifth Meeting House and the Town Hall, in said Town fourteen days at least before the time for holding said meeting. Hereof fail not and make due return of the Warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of meeting aforesaid.
