To any of the Constables of the Town of Lancaster in the County of
Worcester,
GREETINGS:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby
directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lancaster qualified
to vote in the elections and Town affairs, to meet at the Machlan Auditorium,
Atlantic Union College, in said Lancaster on Monday, the twenty-fourth
day of May, at 7:00 o'clock in the evening, then and there to act on the
following Articles:
ARTICLE 1
Board of Selectmen
To see if the Town will vote to transfer $20,000 from FY1999 Collector-Treasurer
Revenue Anticipation Debt to available funds for the purpose of funding
special articles, or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 2
Planning Board
To see if the Town will vote to transfer the unexpended balance from
FY1999 Planning Board Expenses to a special article to be expended by the
Planning Board for planner and other professional services, or act in any
manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 3
Board of Public Works
To see if the Town will vote to transfer $1,938 from FY1999 DPW Snow
Removal Salary & Wages to FY1999 DPW Snow Removal Expenses, or act
in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 4
Board of Health
To see if the Town will vote to take $700 from FY1999 Board of Health
Landfill Maintenance to be expended by the Board of Health to pay an FY98
outstanding bill to Connolly Bros. Landscaping for landfill maintenance,
or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 5
Board of Selectmen
To see if the Town will vote to transfer the unexpended balance of $3,117.08,
as voted under Article 2 of the May 4, 1998 Special Town Meeting for underground
storage tank removals, to be expended by the Board of Selectmen for the
purpose of environmental assessment and remediation costs associated with
contamination caused by said underground storage tank removals, or act
in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

Board of Selectmen
To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds, take from
Overlay Reserve, transfer from the Stabilization Fund, or borrow, a sum
of money to be expended by the Board of Selectmen for environmental remediation
costs associated with contamination due to underground storage tank removals,
or act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

ARTICLE 7
Board of Selectmen
To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds, take from
Overlay Reserve, or transfer from the Stabilization Fund, a sum of money
to be expended by the Board of Selectmen to provide for unanticipated costs
of Year 2000 compliance or remediation for any municipal computer system
or for devices dependent on date-sensitive embedded computer chips, or
act in any manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds, take from
Overlay Reserve, or take from the Stabilization Fund, the sum of $7,900
to be expended by the Board of Selectmen to supplement the Town's share
of the North Nashua River Streambank Protection Project, or act in any
manner relating thereto. Recommendation from the floor.

Overlay Reserve, or transfer from the Stabilization Fund, a sum of money
to be transferred to the FY1999 Finance Committee Reserve Fund, or act

Board of Selectmen
Nashoba Regional District
School Committee
To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen, pursuant
to the provisions of M.G.L. c. 40, '4A,
to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Nashoba Regional
District School Committee for the purpose of incurring indebtedness for
the Lancaster Elementary and Middle School Construction Projects, or act
in any manner relating thereto. Recommended.

ARTICLE 11
Nashoba Regional District
School Committee
To see if the Town will vote to approve
the issue of the remaining $2,049,047 of the debt previously authorized
at the Town Meeting of November 10, 1998 for the renovation, reconstruction,
and furnishing of the Nashoba Regional High School upon presentation of
design plans for the renovation/reconstruction, or act in any manner relating
thereto. Recommended.

this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at the South Lancaster
Post Office, the Center Post Office, the Brick Meeting House and the Town
Hall, in said Town fourteen days at least before the time for holding said
meeting. Hereof fail not and make due return of the Warrant with your doings
thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of meeting aforesaid.
